Raspberry Pi 3 Computer Model B

At first glance, the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B looks like the Pi 2 B. It has the same size and many of the same components on board. So what's the difference? The new Pi 3 offers more processing power and connectivity on the board, saving you time when developing your applications. Perfect for your designs with the Internet of Things (IoT).

More processor speed. The Pi 3's 1.2 GHz CPU is one and a half times faster. Your Pi board works better.

Connectivity on the board. The Pi 3 is equipped with 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth Classic & Low Energy (BLE). You can connect much faster without the need for an external device.

2.5 A power supply. With more processor speed and built-in connectivity, you need more power. Power supplies for the previous Pi boards will not suffice. You will need the official Raspberry Pi power supply.

New components. The Pi 3 has a chip antenna where the status LEDs were previously located. The status LEDs are still located on the board, right next to the slot for the microSD card.
